WP 3.0

June 18th, 2010

Well, WordPress 3.0 is out and I updated to it. Things seem to be working properly thus far. Finally got around to playing with the Widgets in the left  panel (since they seem to be working right now). So far so good.

I really need to post more.

Weekend of Adventure

December 9th, 2009

This is how I spent last weekend:

Battle stations! Man the laptops!

Battle stations! Man the laptops!

Went to visit a friend in Wichita Falls over the weekend and after seeing The Fantastic Mr. Fox, running around town, and a little pottery, we loaded up on snacks and played Starfox: Assault for a few hours before setting up our computers and hitting the RPG groups hard and fast.

Soda, Computers, Guns, Smokes, Snacks....and Starfox!

I know what the ladies like. ;3

Duct Tape Fedora v1.0

November 29th, 2009
Tin foil hats FTW!

Tin foil hats FTW!

I own a black fedora.  Yesterday, my youngest brother asked me to bring over my fedora over because he wanted to make one out of duct tape. I was initially skeptical of how this would work out but, after seeing what he was trying to do and the trouble he was having with it, my artistic side was inspired to take over the task of sculpting this hat made of tape. :D

Descending Explorer

November 15th, 2009

Some time ago, I wrote a little PHP script for my home server so I could look at all the images in a folder in the server without having to click on file after file.

I wrote it mostly because my little brother would upload funny images that he found and then ask me if I had seen them yet. Being the lazy programmer I am, put together the following to show thumbnails of the images so I don’t have to click on every single images to find the ones he was talking about (since he could never rememer the file names).

An example can be seen here.

So decided to polish it a little and put it up for people to use. Have fun with it. :D

You can download a copy of  Descending Explorer v2.1.

To You “Hackers”

November 10th, 2009

Those of you that believe that you’re a hacker just because you downloaded a tool and used it to get into someone’s computer or website or knock your ‘enemy’ off / get your enemy banned from the internet/video game/website, please read the following:

For the rest of you creative god minds, carry on.

That is all.

More ZipIt fun

October 4th, 2009

Ok, my Zipit’s WPA wireless is now working correctly. I was being dumb and was doing it wrong.

It’s all good now, through. Using apt package manager is so much easier than ipkg…and with the number of packages Debian has for the arm processor, there’s little you need to go out and cross compile.

… not that I’m not going to put gcc and make on it. <.< XD

Now that I have an optimal style for the device (Bity works quite well on the 320×240 screen), I can set to figuring out what all else I want on it.

…I might need to move up to an 8GB microSD card. o.o

ZipIt…ZipIt good

October 3rd, 2009

Managed to jump on the bandwagon with the ZipIt hackers. Purchased a ZipIt Z2 from E-Bay and flashed it with a new linux kernel. Now I can boot the thing from a microSD [in a miniSD adapter] and run Debian! :D

In fact, I’m posting this from the device itself. WEP works ok…just have to get WPA working better and I’m set.

Thanks to HunterDavis.com for coverage of Z2 hacking and the ZipIt Forge for their work.

More info to follow!

Finally Styled!

September 12th, 2009

Ok, so I know it’s been forever since I started restyling this thing and making it something much better than the home brew POS that I was working on. Work just has a really bad habit of totally killing my motivation to do anything. -.-

At any rate, I have this thing styled well enough, linked to my galleries and stuff. Hopefully I’ll be able to post more things like thoughts, code, and stuff.

Wish me luck.

First post!

Yeah, yeah, yeah…I know…nothing here. :P

Still trying to find time to finalize the template and link everything.
